Our 31st annual Works of Heart online art auction and party was a success! We raised over $93,000 for the kids served by the Memphis CAC. Art lovers from around the globe viewed 103 pieces of original art created by our talented artists. Over 400 guests attended the auction closing party held for the first time at the Memphis Botanic Garden.

Executive Director Virginia Stallworth said, “Our 31st annual Works of Heart was a year of wonderful firsts. It was our first hybrid event with online bidding, in-person viewing, and a fun closing party. Bidding was fast-paced and exciting, resulting in our highest total from art sales alone.”

The heart-themed pieces included sculpture, paintings, mosaics, and jewelry. Many long-time Works of Heart artists, such as Valerie Berlin, Dale and Brin Baucum, Suzy Hendrix, and Dolph Smith, participated again this year. They were joined by first-time contributors including Melanie Beaver, Deb Ferber, John Pruett, Kristen Rambo, and Savannah Smith.

WMC-TV Anchor Joe Birch emceed the festive auction closing party. Party-goers noshed on appetizers by Fantastic Catering and sipped wine and Ghost River Brewery beer.
