Mission

Helping victims become children again. That's why we're here.

Hope lives at the Memphis Child Advocacy Center. Our vision is a community where children are safe, families are strong and victims become children again. Our mission is to serve children who are victims of sexual and severe physical abuse through prevention education and intervention.

Our team is here to help. All the professionals involved—therapists, investigators, advocates, and more—meet with kids and families at our center. In fact, the Shelby County Child Protection Investigation Team is headquartered at the Memphis CAC. The team includes Memphis CAC staff plus representatives from 15 other agencies. Our kid-friendly campus is a central location for families to get the help they need after abuse has been reported.

We’re working to prevent sexual abuse, too. We have a strong child sexual abuse prevention program. If you’d like to learn more about our Stewards of Children sexual abuse prevention and response training, or our child safe policy training for youth-serving organizations, click here.
