The leadership at the Memphis Child Advocacy Center is following the local government guidelines for safety during the COVID-19 crisis. The health of our clients and staff is paramount. The following procedure is in effect, with leadership continuing to monitor and adjust as needed.
Essential services staff including forensic interviewers and victim advocates are onsite to meet with clients and families. Partner agency staff from law enforcement and Tennessee Department of Children's Services are also onsite.
With the help of video conferencing technology, our multi-agency Child Protection Investigation Team is continuing to meet daily, Monday through Friday. At each meeting, the team reviews and makes decisions about reports of child sexual abuse and other severe abuse.
Our prevention team is now offering Stewards of Children sexual abuse and prevention training sessions in a virtual, facilitator led, interactive environment. If you would like to attend or schedule a session for your organization, contact Kris Crim, our prevention director at firstname.lastname@example.org or (901) 888-4363.
