- Lucilla Garrett, Volunteer and former CAC Board President

The Memphis Child Advocacy Center presents the Nediva Award, recognizing generous spirit - open hands, annually to a volunteer who has made a passionate commitment and invaluable contributions toward our mission to help victims become children again. This could be a board member, committee member or any other volunteer who has made a great contribution to the Center. Nediva is a Hebrew name which means, noble, generous, open-handed; and is the origin of the word volunteer. The Nediva Award was established on the Center's 10th birthday in recognition of the vital role volunteers have played, and will continue to play, in the Center's ability to serve children.
