As a teacher, you are in a unique position to identify and help abused and neglected children. You are often the most responsible people in their lives.
We've provided some helpful information on signs to look for, responsibilities for reporting abuse, dealing with abused children on an ongoing basis, and how to report abuse. The bottom line is trust your feelings and when in doubt, go ahead and report it anyway.
You could be saving a life.
